Splintered Gloss
You were sworn into the drowning
Heaven is your drawing board
The medium is chalk
Candle traces and candle marks
Where a pigeon lays
With you and your dead lover
You hang your carpet on the wall
And made your wall sing
The mural is a mutual trust fund
Between you and me
You seek the comfort of pain
And take comfort in taking pain
And I shall cherish it
When you stop believe in it
In the ever green garden
Ours will be evergreen
It's only a green house
The tree-line goes like splintered glass
You relish, you relive
Like walking on parched air
You open the parchment
To find nothing and no one there
Only a charming faire or nymph
Can't distinguish an elf from a fae
You sat like an accomplished portrait
Cherry picking by the cherry tree
All the Roman are decaying
All the Romance practiced decay
You are only a decal of the moon
With feel of a clear jellyfish
How could you be so heartless?
Here is your cue to hide in the mist
